Tensioner Bearing

Based on advanced bearing technology, NiuShang tensioner bearings have been meeting the stringent requirements of Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen and other automakers for many years. Our design philosophy is as follows.

Optimum material selection for high temperature use
Ideal sealing design to prevent grease leakage
Low torque engineered to reduce excessive seal friction
Grease selection for high temperature and prolonged use
best clearance
Tolerance control for correct alignment
An automatic defect detector was installed in the process. Strict quality control enables us to aim for zero defects. We cover a wide range of car makes and models with over 500 part numbers.

Tensioner Bearing
The belt-driven outer ring mechanism is inherent to the design. The tensioner bearing is on the slack side. (idler bearing on tight side) There are various styles depending on engine type.

Function

Provides tension to the belt
· Transmission of driving force from the crankshaft
· Prevent belt slippage
· Prevent the noise caused by the belt off-line
· Minimize belt layout space

Tensioner Bearing Features

Tensioner bearings are used in various mechanical systems, such as automotive engines and industrial machinery, to control the tension in a moving belt or chain.

Here are some features of tensioner bearings:

  1. Load capacity: Tensioner bearings must be able to handle the weight and tension of the belt or chain that they are supporting.

  2. Durability: Tensioner bearings must be able to withstand the constant wear and tear that comes from continuous movement and stress.

  3. Low friction: Tensioner bearings should have a low coefficient of friction to minimize energy loss and increase efficiency.

  4. Self-aligning: Tensioner bearings should be able to adjust to changes in the belt or chain's position, such as misalignment or stretch.

  5. Sealing: Tensioner bearings often come with a sealing mechanism to protect the bearing from dust, debris, and other contaminants.

  6. Compatibility: Tensioner bearings should be compatible with the specific type of belt or chain that they will be used with.

  7. Ease of installation: Tensioner bearings should be easy to install and remove, so that they can be replaced if necessary.

Structure

The tensioner bearing consists of basic components such as inner ring, outer ring, cage, grease and seal. Pulleys can be added to adjust the rotation ratio. Brackets can be added to adjust the position for increased tension. The race is one of the bearing components. It has grooved tracks for ball positioning. The outer ring and the inner ring form a group. The inner ring is located on the sub-assembly unit, and the outer ring is arranged on the housing. Pulleys can be added to the outer ring to provide a timing belt system with a design speed. Rollers are the "balls" that run between matches. A retainer that moves with the balls separates the individual balls into place. Grease also plays an important role in reducing friction, and oil seals are used to retain grease and prevent the intrusion of foreign objects.
