NiuShang tapered roller bearings use an outer ring and an inner ring assembly. The outer ring consists of the outer ring and the tapered assembly consists of the inner ring, rollers and cage. This bearing configuration can withstand combined loads and provide low friction during operation. Rigid bearing applications can be achieved by aligning a single row tapered roller bearing to a second tapered roller bearing and applying a preload.

Single row tapered roller bearings are typically used in applications with combined loads. Single row tapered roller bearings can also be used in sets. Single row tapered roller bearings can be matched face-to-face, back-to-back or in tandem to provide specific advantages depending on operating conditions.

Shell Carburization
The shell carburizing process creates a hardened steel "shell" on the outside of the roller bearing, while leaving a soft core. The combination of hard surface layers around the soft core provides excellent shock load capability. Shell carburization increases the theoretical life of the bearing by up to 40%, thereby increasing maintenance intervals and reducing downtime.
Special Roller Crowns
NiuShang's pioneering efforts in developing convex rollers have resulted in greater load carrying capacity and longer bearing life. Load-bearing convex rollers distribute stress uniformly along their entire length in contact with the raceway, thereby eliminating stress concentrations at the roller ends. This design concept also compensates for minor misalignments between the shaft and bearing housing bore and deformation under load, thereby reducing stress concentrations.
